Who is Christopher Rogers - CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund Winner

The CFDA American Fashion Council, led by Tom Ford, named the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund 2019 laureate. It was designed by Christopher John Rogers, founder of the brand of the same name. He will receive a cash prize of $ 400 thousand and a year of mentorship from CFDA members. 

The 25-year-old Brooklyn native introduced his first show at New York Fashion Week in September 2019. He is known for evening dresses with voluminous silhouettes, bright shades, frills and an abundance of tulle. Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Lizzo, Ashley Graham, Regina King and others appeared in his outfits earlier. 

In a thank-you speech, Rogers said: “I am very grateful to my parents for having done so much so that I can be here today. To her team, which, despite having a permanent job, left her earlier, so that we had the opportunity to create this collection. And thanks to the jury for seeing something in me.”
