Summer 2022 Nail trends
Minimalist Nail Art
The easiest. You don't think you're good enough to do detailed nail art? Simply use a nail dotting tool to dot a few small flowers in different spots on each nail. If that's still too much, get up a pack of lovely nail stickers that require no artistic ability.
Modern French Mani
We adore the classic appearance of a French manicure, but this modern take has us even more in love. Instead of painting the white stripe straight across each nail, start at the sides and work your way to the tip, creating this sharp white v-shape.
Wavy Nail Art
Right now, waves and squiggles are everywhere. And incorporating the trend into your nails is a great way to do so. Paint a wavy line along the center of your nail with a small nail-art brush and some of your favorite nail polish colors (the brighter, the better). Fill in one half of the nail quickly and then seal it with a top coat.
Animal Print Nails
This summer 2020 manicure design incorporates animal pattern in a non-obnoxious approach. To make the leopard spots, start with a neutral foundation (such as a taupe or light brown nail polish) and then apply clusters of brown and black dots with a nail-dotting tool, as shown. I swear it's not as difficult as it appears.
Detailed Nail Art
This summer, expect to see super-detailed manicure designs like this multicolored set all over your feed. And if your nail-art abilities aren't up to the challenge (mine certainly aren't), save this for your nail artist—some things are better left to the pros, you know?
Marble Summer Nail
The water marble nail method using water, polish, and a ton of patience.
