The nude dress trend
The nude dress trend is back.
Although this look does not seem destined to disappear, it is definitely very strong for 2022. We've seen various iterations of this trend over the years, but at the moment it seems to fall into one of two different camps: a skin-colored body-con dress or a barely fitted, sheer or sheer dress with a strategically placed piece of material (or even a combination of all three).

The nude dress has a long history, of course. Those who are big fans of Cher will remember the star's dedication to the creations of designer Bob Mackie, who regularly designed daring garments for the singer. Before that, however, there was Marilyn Monroe's infamous see-through dress, worn in 1962 to sing happy birthday to President John F. Kennedy: a dress worn during the 2022 Met Gala by Kim Kardashian, which generated much shock.
