At an early age, the boy Louis Francois Cartier showed remarkable talent in his work and was determined to be a student of the Parisian jeweler Picard Adolf. Thanks to the talent, he quickly spun up, and by 1853 he owned a jewelry store on a Parisian street called Neuve de Petit-Shan. Cartier's well-being and his authority, as a skilled jeweler, were constantly growing.

The artist strove for fresh forms, mixing ancient jewelry traditions with fashion trends. The hairstyles of noble ladies were filled with butterflies made of diamonds, gentlemen's gateways were decorated with scarab beetles, -  such innovations seemed unusual to the eyes of society.

The first among world jewelry masters, Louis Cartier began to use platinum. Prior to this, the craftsmen used only silver and gold. In terms of strength, platinum significantly exceeded these materials and withstood a much larger mass of precious stones. The master did not like the Art Modern style, which captivated everything at the beginning of the nineteenth century but he managed to change the direction of capricious fashion.

A special place in history is given to Jeanne Toussaint, - the art director of Cartier Design Studio, a girl who stood out from the crowd and had an exquisite sense of style. She became the creative director in 1933 and held this position until 1970. The prince of Wales in early 1902 acquired the crown from Cartier, which adorned the head of Edward VII when he was elevated to the throne. In the 1910th year, Cartier managed to revolutionize the world of watch movements by placing the watch in a rectangular case. A little later, the watches of some models began to show London, New York and Paris time zone, where the headquarters of the company were deployed. This watch model is still popular today. Later, jewelry connoisseurs witnessed the creation of eponymous collection.

In 1925, the company developed an unusual form of the famous “trinity” ring, which received worldwide fame. Its design includes white, yellow and pink rings, representing devotion, friendship and love. In 1945, the company was renamed into Cartier International, it was led by Pierre Cartier. By the fifties, an oval-shaped Baignoires watch had been released. Later, in the sixties, the company produced several prestigious watch brands Crash Watches, Ceintures, Reverso.

Today, Cartier has fourteen structures producing watches, jewelry and accessories. All Cartier products are distinguished by a special luxury and flair of prestige.
