Taking Care of Your Body During Winter
Just like your face, your body also needs to be taken care of with nourishing and relaxing treatments. When the weather changes in winter, your face and body skincare routine should also change to adapt. Keep reading to learn more about a few skin-boosting essentials to help you get through the next few months.
1- Take a warm bath
Warm showers are a good way to relax and just pause and reflect. Winter can be very depressing for some, so you need to not only take care of your body but also your mental health. On one hand, warm showers will instantly make your immunity stronger, and relieve winter's common cold and muscle tension; on the other hand, it can remove stress and improve your sleep
Although many say to avoid hot showers in winter because it’s drying your skin and stripping it from its essential moisture, if you follow the next steps ahead, you shouldn't have a problem with that.

2- Exfoliate in the shower
It's important to always exfoliate regularly as it removes all the dead skin and makes your skin instantly softer and smoother. For the days you're not showering, we highly recommend investing in a body brush, for dry brushing. It makes exfoliating easier, more effective, and locks the moisturizer better. Avoid exfoliating twice in the day, to not overdo it.

3- Cleanse with oil
After exfoliating, you should cleanse your skin with oil as many studies have proved that people that "cleanse with oil every other day for a month had better skin barrier function and fewer symptoms of dry skin than those who used oil-free cleansers". Don't skip this step and you'll notice the difference yourself.

In winter, your skin becomes very dry, and heavy moisturizer makes all the difference. Make sure to choose the right moisturizer for your skin type and to always moisturize right after a shower but also before going to bed to wake up with healthy and glowing skin.
