Silver trend, the color of Spring Summer 2023
To each year its new trend. It seemed impossible given the much success of gold-from jewelry to clothes, a victorious race-but silver takes the first place as the favorite color of Spring Summer 2023. The runways have dictated its main rules: the declinations are numerous, from the long skirt entirely covered in sequins presented by Michael Kors-which is worn with a basic garment for a more informal effect-to Valentino's proposal, which makes it a celebration of luxury, through crystals, inlaid flowers and matching accessories. The silver skirt is a must-have for the upcoming season, especially when long and voluminous. Also covered in silver crystals are the accessories and shoes, such as Chanel's iconic slingbacks that for Spring Summer 2023 are adorned with small luminous diamonds, or like the ankle boots, which become knee-high according to AZ Factory.

Approaching summer, there is no shortage of mini-dresses, which are tightened, lengthened, shortened and become ideal companions for unforgettable evenings. Alexander McQueen finds the solution to the eternal question of the perfect dress for spring parties: a little dress with an essential cut that hides in itself the workmanship of haute couture. A cascade of silver sequins for a disco effect-even with jewelry the praise of color is continued, with chunky pieces strictly in silver-. Stella McCartney is also added to the list, presenting very thin and semi-transparent silver dresses, and Sacai, which, on the contrary, sees this hue as a passe-partout for daytime: the dress paraded during Spring Summer 2023 is airy, it is voluminous, it is evergreen. Note also to Courrèges' bodysuit or Givenchy's woven blouse, which in a combination of knots, mesh and bangs, makes the color the quintessence of luxury.

As proof of the evocative power of silver, for Spring Summer 2023, not even the more classic Chloé and Cecilie Bahnsen remain immune to the allure of silver. The former reinterprets the summer codes of beachwear and presents a long mesh dress in silver, the latter those of the cocktail dress with a garment that seems to be a small fabric sculpture, between cutouts and floral cuts. Also added to the list are long dresses by Gucci and Altuzarra-not to mention Ludovic de Saint Sernin's imperceptible dresses that make glitter tangible. The list of silver admirers for the coming hot season is long, the 2023 diktat invites the purchase of at least one silver garment-even if only Isabel Marant's micro shorts-,or at least, of a silver piece of jewelry, which also succeeds in this field in ousting the much-loved yellow gold.
