Designer Sarah Burton showcased Alexander McQueen S/S 2020 collection. The show was held at the Orangerie Museum. The music at the show was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. “I like it when people find time to create something together, time to meet and talk, time to reunite with the world,” says Sarah Burton.

Designer was inspired by archival samples from designer Alexander McQueen and her past work. The collection was based on a strict trouser suits and dresses, a lot of them on the catwalk were stylized with wide belts. The designer decorated all this with ruffles and frills, as well as prints and embroidery. For the spring line, she also used recycled lace, organza and tulle from previous seasons.

Each item was thoughtful, expedient and incredibly beautiful. Some outfits made of asymmetric lace and frills are worthy of a red carpet or wedding; others are a luxurious everyday option. Sarah Burton has always done incredibly beautiful things, but in the last few seasons, and directly in the new collection, she surpassed herself.
