PhotoVogue 10th Year Anniversary Festival

Share:

From November 18th to 21st, Vogue Italia is celebrating PhotoVogue's 10th year anniversary. The festival unfolds a photographic exhibition, screenings, and talks held both online and offline at Base Milano. For art, fashion, and photography lovers, this is an event not to be missed!

The themed exhibition "Reframing history" is dedicated to the encounter between ethics and aesthetics, and revolves around projects that look at photography from an alternative point of view, reinventing key figures in history and questioning stereotyped stories.

The festival is composed of three sections: Reframing History / 35 chapters, Reframing History / 12 chapters and Reframing History / 2 chapters. All sections revolve around the exploration and understanding of the theme through different focuses. The first one aims to create a balance of stories, while the second focuses on the perspective of Black creatives towards the general theme. Finally, the last section showcases a reinterpretation of the two tv series, "imagining a more inclusive casting in the world of television."

All artists were selected through an Open Call competition by either an international Jury and the members of Vogue Italia's photography department.

Interesting talks about the influence of Instagram on diversity, inclusion, disability and the LGBTQ+ community will be available in presence or on Voguephoto Festival website.

Here are some capturing images from the festival.
