Nike and Jacquemus to collab on “sensuous” womenswear
The sportswear brand's Humara trail shoe and nineties campaigns are in the forefront of the French designer's mind as they collaborate on a minimalist-inspired womenswear collection. The line, which includes unisex footwear, will be available exclusively through Jacquemus' e-commerce site and Nike stores starting on June 28.
"For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way," designer Simon Porte Jacquemus said in a statement. "With this concept in mind, we created sensual touches and neutral colors in women's sporting gear." The collection had to appeal to a wide range of people and be a natural marriage of Jacquemus elegance and Nike performance."
