Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Kate Moss are Immortalized as NFTs
The German fashion and art photographer, Ellen von Unwerth, will launch a collection with five non-fungible tokens (NFT) featuring 90’s supermodel Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer with images of these iconic fashion faces previously taken by the artist. The pieces will be auctioned on Cryptograph, a digital auction website for luxury NFTs, on October 21.
Not only will the buyer be owning a one-of-kind digital work, as the person will be helping nonprofits organizations such as UNICEF, Fashion For Relief and Imperial Health Charity, as a percentage of the revenues of the auction will be directed to these institutions. The transaction is secured with a blockchain technology that ensures the authenticity, as well as grants the new owner its unique property.
The series includes iconic shots from the uber models in the late 80s and 90s, such as Campbell’s picture with soda cans wrapped into her hair, Schiffer’s image in the emblematic bustier and Moss’ photograph with glasses in Paris.
