How to dress in Africa?
A trip to Africa, those who haven't done it yet, should really put it on the agenda. Those who have already been there, on the other hand, would like to go back right away.
Why? It is a land of unique colors, unspoiled, full of fascinating animals and traditions, a location full of love.
Depending on the area you choose, what you pack will inevitably have to change as well. One does not always know how to dress in Africa so as not to suffer the sultry heat or a sudden cold.
Oh yes, because as you go down you move away from the equator and temperatures vary greatly. Is it better to wear a minimal, summer outfit, or long tunic and safari pants? Let's take a look at five possible outfits to pack before leaving for this breathtaking continent.

What to wear in South Africa
There is a desire to discover new places, spend long days on adventure. So, it's a good idea to pack comfortable and sporty clothes in green, beige, brown, avoiding white or garish colors so that you don't end up with hundreds of bugs afterwards or trigger the fierce reaction of some animal.
Things to bring in your bag should include fleece sweaters, sweatshirts and scarves to protect yourself from the winds, which are quite frequent in this part of Africa. And again, a pair of hiking shoes and a pair of sandals are all your feet will need.

What to bring to Kenya
The Kenyan terrain is wonderful: Maasai culture, scenery with magnificent colors and lots of adventure. The huge sun disc burns across the horizon line, turning every sunset into a magical moment. Zebras, lions, horses and rhinos...this and much more awaits the adventure-seeking tourist.
Yes, but what to wear in Kenya? Here's how to dress in Africa so you don't get caught unprepared! Sunglasses, sunscreen and a nice hat first. Then, beige, army green, brown or khaki clothes. A scarf or pashmina should never be missing, but always neutral colors. No exaggeration. Remember that nature should be respected and not harassed with bright colors that upset the balance of wildlife.
Comfortable shoes, such as: sandals, flip-flops and hiking shoes. Okay, but what if instead of exploring, you go just to get the African tan and relax on beaches with the finest sand? Then, you should also pack minimal dresses, bikinis, cotton shorts, T-shirts and tank tops (on the beach they are allowed, in the villages always shoulders covered). And of course sunscreen with high protection and a couple of beach towels to enjoy the pleasant relaxation of this amazing land.

How to dress in Cape Town
And if the destination of your trip is Cape Town then go luxury. It is a port city and the capital of South Africa. The center of the city lies in a basin, a depression between reliefs now as Table Mountain. A striking landscape in beautiful weather. How so?
The climate is Mediterranean, so the hottest month is January and the coldest is August. A climate similar to Italy but in reverse months. Your suitcase should be prepared keeping in mind the period when you will spend your vacation. From January to March it is good to wear short, cool, cotton clothes, so also from March to April.
In May, temperatures drop and stay low until the end of August. Absurd, isn't it? But don't be frightened, the minimum drops to 8 degrees. Bearable, if dressed appropriately.

What to pack for an African safari
In Africa, temperatures are very high, but if you move early in the morning and then return late in the evening to your hotel, it is possible to feel cold. How is this possible? Simple: the temperature range is through the roof. So, better be prepared by dressing in layers, that is, onions. A scarf, hat and jacket will come in very handy.
On the feet, closed, water-repellent shoes are necessary, but above all, they must be comfortable. Hat for the sun or a bandana to protect your head from high temperatures. Never forget a waterproof jacket, however. Rain comes at any moment and soaks those without suitable clothing within five minutes.

How to dress in Botswana
If you love Southern Africa, such as Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe, there is quite a choice of outfits. We are in the savannah with its alluvial valleys and its vast expanses populated by cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas and wild dogs. Dressing in Africa is not difficult, you just have to know how to organize. Long, wide skirts to stay comfortable, a pair of leggings and loose long-sleeved shirts or t-shirts. Just cover your knees well so you don't clash with the local culture.
Men go along with it in the sense that they are more free to dress casual, but always better long-sleeved shirts to protect against mosquitoes and other pesky insects.
