Hairstyles for the holidays, here comes the bow again

Share:

Christmas is less than 40 days away and already there is a craving for holiday hairstyles. But with retro flashes. It will surely be thanks to TV series such as Bridgerton and the very latest one dedicated to Marie Antoinette, and the film Don't Worry Darling starring Florence Pugh set in the years of chic 1950s housewives. The fact is that the coquette - Italian for coquettish - aesthetic never ceases to appeal to us. And according to TikTok, the undisputed queen of this style, namely the Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl 2000s, has never really stopped inspiring us in our hair styling choices. In particular of one, namely the bow in the hair.

Some like to wear it in headband mode, some prefer the clip and some scruchie. The fact is that so many girls are dusting off the bow as the ornament for party hairstyles, giving demonstrations of various uses and hairstyles in the magical world of tutorial reels. In short, we can proudly say that, at least for once, TikTok does not delight us with strange uses of anti-dandruff shampoos or hyaluronic acid lotions to be applied in places other than those for which they are born or suggested. Rather, the platform has gone to dust off a totally universal gesture that takes us back to our more carefree world.

And this is where, in our opinion, it not only works perfectly but also has something brilliant about it. In particular, it was a surprisingly easy-to-make bow hairstyle that sent the web into a frenzy. That is, a (mundane) half-tail, which you wrap around yourself to add volume, before securing the loose hair with the ribbon.

To achieve this look flawlessly, there is the ability to place the bow in the exact spot: not at the hairline, but lower, just a few inches below the crown. Most importantly, choose the most eye-catching and thickest bow possible. The easiest to place is the one with a clip that, with its teeth, "clings" to even the straightest spaghetti-straight hair. On the other hand, for those who like to tie the bow by hand, they will have to choose a material that is definitely rough to the touch, such as velvet or organza.
