Everything you Need to Know for the Fashion Awards 2021
Next Monday, November 29, London’s Royal Albert Hall will host the Fashion Awards. Until 2016 recalled as the British Fashion Awards, it is an annual ceremony that showcases individuals and businesses with the most distinguished contributions to the fashion industry throughout the year. The event is organized by the British Fashion Council and it is the main fundraiser for BFC’s Education Foundation.
This year the event will be presented by TikTok and hosted by Billy Porter, an Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award-winning, apart from being a Golden Globe-nominated actor, director, composer, singer and dramatist. Porter became an icon not only for his innate talent, but for his contributions as a defender of black LGBTQ+ community, while pleasing red carpet events with monumental couture pieces, thus becoming a symbol that constantly uses fashion as a way to communicate himself and self-expression.
