Chanel is back in Dubai with a re-see collection

On Tuesday, November 2nd, Chanel held a fashion show in Dubai to showcase, physically this time, their Cruise 2021/22 Collection, which was first unveiled virtually in May. Many A-listers celebrities head to the city for the show, including John Legend’s surprise performance at the after-party.

The show was split into two viewings, one in the afternoon and one in the evening, to accommodate a wider guest list. The collection designed by Vivienne Viard was defined by two-toned pieces inspired by the black and white experiential film directed in 1960 by the French filmmaker, Jean Cocteau. 

Virginie Viard gave a new direction for Chanel, exploring punk culture and producing graphic suits, fishnet stockings, and leather holster belts, balanced with Chanel signature tweed suits and lace and floral-embroidered dresses.
